E-payment

= electronic payment. E-payment means electronic procedures in the internet, which are used for the payment of goods or services. In online shops buyers usually have the choice between several payment options.

Payment methods (selection)

  • Online bank transfer
  • Direct debit (ELV, electronic direct debit)
  • Credit card (e.g. Visa, Mastercard, American Express)
  • Virtual account (e-wallet, e.g. from PayPal)

Payment Service Providers (PSP) offer various payment methods.

The term e-payment includes the m-payment (Mobile Payment), which allows payment using mobile devices, such as mobile phones or smartphones.
