= Encapsulated PostScript Format. Data format for storing and exchanging data in prepress. EPS files can store pixel data and vector data and are mostly used for image data or ads.

Application

EPSF is supported as import and export format by all important application programs. EPS is increasingly replaced by the format PDF.
