Open-Type
Open-Type Fonts
Font format that can store over 64,000 characters. The advantage over the font formats Type1 fonts and True-Type fonts is that there is only one font file for Mac and Windows and thus problems with special characters and page breaks can be avoided due to differences in spacing during data exchange.
Enhancements
Character sets for foreign-language typesetting and typographic functions, such as ligatures and small caps, can be included.
