CGI

= Computer-generated image. CGI describes a virtual representation process for generating static or dynamic three-dimensional (3D) images using computer graphics. It is used in film production, product visualisation, photography, advertising and computer simulation.

Basis technology

CGI is often based on 3D design data. Using special CGI processing technologies, virtual representations can be combined with real photographs. Therefore, advertising measures can already be prepared for products that have not yet been manufactured.

CGI is also used in the areas AR (Augmented Reality) and VR (Virtual Reality) as a display technique.
