Cost-per-Order (CPO)

Cost-per-Order is a commission model within the online marketing that is particularly suitable for e-commerce systems. The costs of an advertising campaign are based on the sales made in an online-shop, which were realised via the advertisement. In addition to a site visit, the user must therefore carry out a specific action. A frequently used synonym is the term cost-per-sale.

Advantages

The advertiser only has to pay for the placement of the advertising if a consumer has successfully completed a purchase.

Alternative pricing models are Cost-per-Click (CPC), Cost-per-Lead (CPL) or Cost-per-Mille (CPM).
