Mouse-over effect
The mouse-over effect is the display area or pop-up window that opens as soon as a user leaves the mouse pointer on a function element of an application program, a web page or a toolbar.
Background
This is a HTML element integrated into the JavaScript code of a web page. For example, a short description text for an image, icon or hyperlink can be displayed. This disappears again as soon as the mouse pointer is moved away from this area.
