Soft bounce
Soft Bounce describes a key figure of bounce management and is used to monitor success in e-mail marketing.
Characteristics
The soft bounces describe e-mails that have reached the recipient's mail server but are returned due to an absence, a full mailbox, an overloaded server or even an attachment that is too large.
Differentiation
In addition to soft bounces, hard bounces can also be the reason for an undeliverable e-mail. For sending regular newsletter campaigns it is therefore advisable to check the sending of unsuccessfully sent e-mails in order to optimise the distribution list and to counteract a low open rate.
